  • Setup

This drill can run consecutively at both ends if you have a whole court, or players can sit out and rotate. (A) is the unopposed attacker, while 2 goalies (B & C) are covered by defenders (D & E).
  • Step 1

    (A) simulates winning a free pass near centre. (B & C) lead for the ball and (A) must find one of them with a pass
(B & C) should discuss *goalie systems* they might use before they start
(B & C) use preliminary moves such as straight leads and cuts
  • Step 2

Work the ball around until a high percentage shot is available. After the shot, or if the ball is intercepted or goes out of play, reset and begin again.
    (C) is free so can orchestrate the play
  • Step 3

    After 3 turns, rotate players.
Alternate positions for juniors; keep shooters & defenders playing preferred positions for advanced teams.
