  • Setup

Form a circle with a radius of up to 4m. If learning this drill, start with one player in the middle, otherwise put 1 additional player in the middle per 4 players on the outside.
  • Step 1

Travelling anti-clockwise: (A) starts by throwing to (B), then sprints towards (B) to pressure the passer
  • Step 2

Meanwhile (C) - the player next in anti-clockwise sequence - runs into the middle to receive (B)'s pass
    (C) should sprint and call for the ball once they are near the middle.
    (B) is being defended so must get their pass over / around (A)
After defending (A) stays where they are, (B) shuffles around to fill the gap left by (C)
  • Step 3

The drill repeats in this fashion, with (C) now passing to (D) then defending, while (B) runs inside.
  • Step 4

Progressions: You can reverse the direction of play several times to keep players thinking. You can also introduce another ball if players are too idle.
