Purpose

Receiving a penalty pass enables you to run set plays to take advantage of the spare player. This particular strategy is used when you've received a penalty in the back-court closer to baseline than the centre.

Setup
Choose teams and setup as per the diagram. You can practice from various starting points around the centre third, but start where [GK] is.
Step 1
When the penalty is near the baseline:- The opposition lacks time to structure their defence if [GK] quickly takes the pass.

First option should be the penalised player's opponent - teammates stay away from that target

Use a practised three option attack
Step 2
In a situation where there is the opportunity for quick continuity and you deliver well to an open front-court:-

[C] takes the throw, with [GA/GS] being the primary target depending on your goalie system

[WA] becomes the 2nd option. [WD/GD] divide up the space in the back-court but shouldn't be required.

[C] runs forward after passing to provide support and becomes the link player making the final pass if required.
