Netball Warm Up > Dodge Past a Marker

Preliminary Moves & Passing, Footwork & Agility.
Purpose
Practise leading hard and using fast footwork to get around a marker.

  • Setup

    Pairs need 1/6 of court space. Pairs choose worker (A) and feeder (B).

  • Step 1

    (A) runs directly at (B) and is hypothetically covered by a defender around the region of cone (1)

  • Step 2

    Just before reaching cone (1), (A) performs a lead and dodge by cutting to the left or right of cone (1) at 45 degrees to receive the pass from (B)
    (A) uses fast feet just before (1)

  • Step 3

    Have 3-5 turns, then swap roles
