Work on sharpening skills with this warm up drill which requires the player to handle different incoming passes.

  • Setup

    Pair-up and choose worker (A) who stands 2m and facing-away from feeder (B).
  • Step 1

    On 'go!', (A) - who is facing away from (A), turns around quickly and receives (B)'s pass, which can be:-
    Low, waist height, or high requiring a jump
    Wide but within arm reach, or at the body
  • Step 2

    (A) gathers and chest passes back to (B), then turns back around to face away from them.
  • Step 3

    (B) gradually increases difficulty by passing sooner while (A) is still turning.
    (A) needs good peripheral vision
    (B) should temper the passes so they are challenging but not impossible to catch
  • Step 4

    Vary the passes to (A) for 30-45 seconds. Swap roles and repeat.
