Preliminary Moves & Passing.

Purpose

An 'around the square' passing pattern featuring a pass to a moving player, then becoming the moving player to receive the next ball.

Setup
Mark out a 10m square (width of 1/3). (A) and (C) both start with a ball. On 'go', both pass at the same time.
Step 1
All players will have 2 catches and 2 passes per turn. The pattern is (receive & pass ball from cone - run to middle - receive & pass from middle)

Ball 1 (at cone): Receive from the player opposite - Pass to intersecting line moving player

Ball 2 (in middle): Receives from side cone - Pass to the player opposite.
Step 2
Ball 1 received on the cone must followed by an accurate chest pass to the intersecting player

The pass from the cone should be slightly in front so the player doesn't break stride

Stationary passing players remain at the front of the line
Step 3
Players should time their run into the middle so they don't break stride. Jump to catch if necessary, but ensure fast, fluent movement

The catch - land - pass needs to be slick.

Moving players join the line they pass to (opposite)
Step 4
As a progression, increase the size of the square to 15m.
