  • Setup

Form 2 evenly matched teams of 5 or 7 each; start players in preferred positions (drop GA+GD if you only have 10 players and use 2/3 of the court). Normal rules apply except restart is from (GK) on baseline (11+ players) or defensive transverse line (10 players).
  • Step 1

Let teams spend 1 minute discussing overall strategy for leading / dividing up the space, so players aren't leading to the same areas.
  • Step 2

On 'go!', (GK) with the ball on starting line passes to (C / GD / WD), who all make strong leads to space.
Coordinate your attack - don't run to the same spot; if a team-mate has lead first, lead to the hole they left behind
Passes should be hard and flat and taken on the move
  • Step 3

Whoever receives the ball then looks for next option. Surrounding players make consecutive leads after brief intervals.
Players with the ball shouldn't telegraph their pass - don't be afraid to throw a fake pass to the first option and give to the second
Don't use long, loopy passes that are easy to intercept
Try to realign the attack centrally, or you'll be cramped for space.
  • Step 4

Continue in this fashion the length of the court, with players working hard to present multiple options for each pass
If a turnover occurs, opposing team restart from the other end.
  • Step 5

Once the ball reaches a goalie in range they take a shot.
  • Step 6

Rotate attacking and defending teams and repeat the other way. Sub-on odd player out after several turns.
