  • Setup

Form 2 evenly matched teams of 4+ (you'll need opposing bibs). Choose which team attacks and defends. At each baseline are 2 cones on which neutral feeders (E & F) stand - one can be coach. Opposing pairs start on cones (3 - 4 -5 - 6) as-per-diagram on one wing, the other is out of bounds.
  • Step 1

    Attacking team attempts to progress via (A - B - C - D), defended by (D - C - B - A) respectively. The same occurs back the other way, however leading from cones (4 - 3 - 2 - 1).
  • Step 2

Coach/player (E) feeds to (A) who is defended by (D)
    (A) shouldn't lead too far up-court.
    (D) defends as tightly as possible and attempts to intercept/ tip
  • Step 3

    (A) catches and must pass to (B), similarly defended by opposing (C)
    (B) should wait until (A) is settled before leading, otherwise they'll end-up too far up-court
    (D) should pressure the passer (A)
  • Step 4

Continue down-court in this fashion. If a defender manages to tip/intercept:-
Possession changes to the opposite team
Flow of play continues in the same direction
  • Step 5

Team in possession score 1 point every time they pass to a player on the baseline (E or F).
(E & F) don't move off their cone; if the pass misses them, consider this a turnover.
  • Step 6

After scoring the point, everyone from the attacking team must move to NEW starting ones (4 - 3 - 2 - 1) before they can receive the next pass
  • Step 7

Attacking team continue back up-court, starting with (F) must passing back to (D) while (A) defends again.
Score 1 point each successful lap; keep players informed of score.
  • Step 8

Take a breather after 90 seconds; sub-on extras; replace players on cones (E & F) if required.
Progression: Keep the ball until the ball is intercepted. How many lengths can a team make before it's intercepted?
