Simulates playing a zone-style defence to cover the nearest opponent.

Setup
Form 2 even teams. Choose 4 from the attacking team (A) who spread out inside the 2m wide inner hexagon. All defenders (B) confined to corridor between the inner and outer perimeters (1m wide).
Step 1
On 'go!', attackers (A) jog around anywhere inside the circle. Defenders and apply a zone defence covering 1/4 of the playing area.

Step 2
On 'escape!', (A)'s need to stop running around inside, and escape by running directly outwards towards the nearest outside perimeter while (B)'s block their run

(A)'s cannot change their position inside the inner hexagon once the call is made - they must run directly out, otherwise too hard for defenders and defeats the purpose of the exercise

Normal rules apply so (A)'s need to escape without contact, and (B)'s can't obstruct

(B)'s use fast feet to impede (A)'s
Step 3
Reset back in the middle, sub-on new attackers if you have extras and repeat.
Step 4
After all attackers have tried escaping at least once, swap attacking and defending teams; repeat.
