Purpose
A warm-up drill to get the heart pumping and the calf muscles in use with some vertical leaping.

Instructions
Setup
Pairs require a ball and 1/6 of court space. Pairs choose worker (A) and feeder (B).
Step 1
(A) starts about 5m directly in front of feeder (B) with the ball. (A) works in 3 directions - directly towards (B), 45 degrees left and 45 degrees right of (B)
Step 2
(A) makes a straight lead towards (B). Simulating a situation where this space is covered, they quickly turn and run back to their starting position
Run away from (B), but watch (B) over shoulder
Step 3
Once back in position, (A) makes a secondary lead either 45 degrees LEFT or RIGHT.
Step 4
(B) lobs a high pass for (A) to leap and catch. Given (A) is running, launch off one foot. (A) should make a balanced landing and fire a quick return pass to (B), before using fast feet to return to the starting position.
Step 5
(A) continuously repeats steps 2-4:
1. straight lead towards the feeder
2. turn and run back to start
3. perform secondary lead at 45 degrees to receive
Step 6
(A) works for 45-60 seconds. Then swap roles and repeat.
