Purpose
This drill requires players laterally, then move forward to a position to receive a consecutive pass down-court; also uses peripheral vision to be aware of a second ball.

Instructions
Setup
Mark 8 points on a 10m square. Works best with 8 players but additional numbers can also join existing stations. Opposing corners (A) and (E) both start with a ball.
Step 1
On start, both (A) and (E) perform these actions:-
1. Throw a
fake pass
to the player on the opposite point on the square. This is the other player with the ball - (A to E), (B to F), (C to G), (D to H)
2. Chest pass to the player on their immediate LEFT (balls move in the same clockwise direction) (A to B), (E to F)
3. Run and swap places with the player they threw the fake towards in (1) above, i.e. the player who passed the other ball
Step 2
Opposite players should receive, pass and cross-over in sync
To keep in sync you'll need some awareness of the second ball by using peripheral vision; delay passing if necessary.
Step 3
Progress by changing the direction of flow. For advanced teams, you can require players to change passing hands.
