Centre Pass to First Option Receiver

Simulates a centre pass situation with a predetermined first-choice receiver. Requires a well-timed run and accurate pass.

  • Setup

    Each trio require a 5m of space and transverse/baseline to start (B & C) on. Trios choose a feeder (A), worker (B) and defender (C).

  • Step 1

    (A) has the ball simulating a centre pass. (B) mixes-up standing left or right of (C) each turn.

  • Step 2

    On 'go!', (A) must pass to their straight leading team mate (B) while defender (C) attempts to intercept
    (A) needs to be precise so (B) catches in their stride, or with a lunge.

  • Step 3

    Return the ball to (A). Repeat 5 times; rotate roles.

  • Step 4

    Advanced level progression: (A) performs a roll-off or half-roll around their opponent to initiate their lead.
